Yes, that is our Laurie with the mayor of Brunswick !! Thank you Horse Haven for bring Pop Tart, adopted from ACE !
In 2009, the 11 year old daughter of one of John's paramedic program
graduates came out to meet the Rescue horses and to learn about the
special story of their lives. She immediately came to adore our 11 year
old thoroughbred gelding "Chance", the namesake of ACE Rescue, and her
interaction with Chance has been one of love, respect, and admiration.
Throughout the remainder of her 2009 school year and into the first
half of 2010, Kate has worked to construct a school project poster to
help tell the stories of our horses, and to educate people as to the
disgrace which is equine slaughter. After many months of research and
hard work, Kate's ACE Rescue project posterboard won high praise at its
Hudson Middle School presentation night, and attendees crowded around
her project board to read about the mission and purpose of equine
rescue.
ACE Rescue is therefore honored to present pictures of Kate Krizan's
project board on our website, and we have made her an honorary member of
our Rescue to thank her for her hard work on our behalf. Our Rescue is
indeed blessed to have such a caring, and compassionate young woman such
as Kate Krizan as a member of our Team. Good job Kate on behalf of your
beloved Chance, and from the many members and Board of Directors of ACE
Rescue, we are so very proud of your accomplishment!
